Our team has evolved over the years with many amazing volunteers who have enabled us to come as far as we have.
Geeta Sethi
Since my high school days in India I have found purpose volunteering with organizations focused on uplifting children dealing with misfortune. This has included reading and life sustaining skills education, as well as women’s health education. My background in Nutrition and Child Psychology combined to support the pursuit of my passion of helping others.
As Director of the Birthday Squad of Buffalo with encouragement from my husband and two adult children, I will work alongside my amazing board members to help children in our community celebrate themselves on their birthdays. I am thrilled by this opportunity. If you are happy, imagine the feeling of making a child happy.
Sharon Suchak
Sharon Suchak has been teaching robotics and coding to children in Erie County and is committed to making a difference in the community. She was introduced to the Birthday Squad by Geeta Sethi and was drawn to its cause. It is important to make children feel special on their birthday regardless of their situation and show them that the community cares. She is dedicated to helping the Birthday Squad by providing strategic thought partnership and organizational strategy and development.
Lynn Domachowsk
Throughout her 35-year career as a certified public accountant who specialized in individual and corporate taxation Lynn found time to chase her passion of helping others by volunteering with the United Way and Girl Scouts of America. She also taught religious education at her family's parish and currently volunteers at a local food pantry helping children whose families have limited resources. Now retired with her darling grandson frequently on her lap, Lynn is excited to be on the Board of The Birthday Squad of Buffalo so that she can contribute her expertise and experience while bringing joy to children less fortunate in the Western New York community.
Tricia Caruso
As a founding board member of The Birthday Squad of Buffalo I am continually thrilled by the excitement of celebrating others. There is nothing better than seeing a child’s face light up when handed a balloon and piece of cake in honor of them on their special day.
I am originally from New England and have been living in Buffalo since moving here as a sophomore in high school. After earning my B.S. in Business Management at SUNY College at Fredonia I found Higher Education Publishing. I am in the midst of enjoying a career in leading sales teams across the Northeast to success through partnership with instructors and institutions that focus on positive student outcomes.
My overwhelming joy and purpose comes from my husband, two sons, family dog, parents, siblings, cousins, and many wonderful friends. I believe we are here for a good time and my favorite song is “Happy Birthday to You!”
Abha Jain
Abha Jain is a dedicated mother of three and a passionate advocate for children and families. She is an active and involved community member, serving as a member of the Batavia Schools PTA, and working tirelessly to promote education, support teachers, and enhance the educational experience for students.
Abha has served as the Chief Operating Officer (COO) of Batavia Pediatrics (a private practice) for 20 years with her pediatrician husband, Lalit Jain M.D., she was responsible for all aspects of administration and governance of the medical practice. She provided leadership and initiative for patient data management, health care support, procurement and inventory management, logistics and coordination relating to patient appointments and mentoring of the administrative staff.
Moreover, Abha has also been a board member for three years at St. Jerome Guild, where she played a critical role in advancing their mission and strengthening the organization's impact in the community.
Her commitment to service and her experience in leadership and community engagement make her a valuable asset to our charity.
